The Big Slowdown
After a quick trip to California where you can find hibiscus and birds of paradise growing in the ditch, things are looking pretty bleak here. Things are going to sleep. At least there is an election or two going on to keep me occupied. I wonder how I will kill off all the weeds that I didn't pick this summer.

I noticed today that some of my irises have come out. What a nice surprise. I don't know why it's taken so long but who am I to complain? I also bought some mums at Sunnyside the other day. I had to strap them to my back because I was on my bike but they seem to have done OK. To demonstrate my bad taste I cut the yellow ones and purple ones in half and then planted them together half and half on each side of the steps. It looks so stupid. The weeding I did last week is all for nought since they have taken over again.
I still haven't gotten the merc back together yet and it's driving me crazy. For some reason my trickle charger won't work on my battery. Such a headache. Riding has been really great all week. I also got some good news yesterday-my best buddy's bitch of an ex-wife crashed her brand new Ducati. I looked at it today and it's smashed to smithereens. I normally have love for everyone but not for her. She's so stupid that I bet she has another one by the end of the month because she just doesn't ever seem to get the hint.

Hotter Than A Texas Whorehouse
Well I tried to get the second half of the flower bed done tonight but the mosquitoes are just terrible. I spent about five minutes washing my motorcycle and that was enough bugs for me. I also noticed that there is a big spot that I missed yesterday so I guess I have to do that. I am thinking about going to Sunnyside tomorrow to buy some bedding in plants because they might be on sale by now. Anything to keep the weeds down and some colour in the front of the house.
I looked at a Harley today, which pretty much goes against everything I believe in. It's OK and the price is right but I really only want to have Ducatis. There just is much you can do to trick them out. All the stuff I did to my bike is cosmetic. Also, the ride was pretty good today. I might be nursing a sunburn tomorrow. I might still go for a tear tonight when the sun goes down, because I like that kind of thing.

Midsummer's Night
Tonight was weeding night. It's about a hundred degrees outside and the mosquitoes are terrible. However, I want to ride tomorrow and I need to weed NOT in the sun. I got half of my pitiful flower bed done. I noticed several things while weeding: Still too many cigarette butts in the flowers; the most hateful weeds seem to just pull off at the stem; lots of those little helicopter seeds are sprouting; many girls in sundresses are walking around; I have a blinding headache. Also, some bastard dug out one of the few perennials that made it through last winter. Luckily it seems to have dropped little babies all around where it used to live so there is hope for it yet. I don't know what it is but it has bright pink flowers.
